my name is kaitlin hey. i just finished my first year of college in tennessee. my major is youth ministry and physical education. I am looking forward to this change that will be happening this year. after college i want to open a camp for youth who have had it rough. i know i wont be able to communicate with them until i know exactly what has been going on in their lives. by joining mission year, i not only want to bring Christ to the neighborhood, but i want to gain a better understanding of each situation happening in the world today.
About Mission Year
Mission Year is a year long urban ministry program focused on Christian service and discipleship. We take teams of young people, place them in an area of need, and help them to serve people and create community. We are committed to the command of Jesus to “love God and love people,” by placing the needs of our neighbors first and developing committed disciples of Christ with a heart for the poor.
